So in addition to finishing up my last two weeks of class (and the work that goes along with it), I'm in the process of looking for a job. I need something full time that pays decent since it costs about $60-80 to fill up my gas tank depending on gas prices. The downfall is that I'll be taking a summer class that would require me to need 3 weekends off because it's a Friday and Saturday from 9:00-4:00 for 3 weekends. Plus I have a feeling people are going to be shady since I'm a full-time graduate student. I suppose if I have to, I'll work at McDonalds or something just to have some income coming in. It just sucks that I know I'm overqualified for a lot of jobs, so I have a feeling most of them won't hire me just for summer help. People see licensed social worker/bachelors degree/working on masters degree and know that I'm not going to be an employee that will stick around for the long haul. Maybe I can find a nanny job or something...I like kids...kinda. ha ha. I'm pretty sure my youngest niece has scarred me away from kids for a while. We call her a little devil for a reason! :-)
Speaking of the little devil...I'm going to see her on Tuesday. My sister lives about 2-2.5 hours away and has a dentist appointment but doesn't have a ride. Neither my mom or sister drive, so if they can't find a ride to appointments they either have to walk or cancel the appointment. Well my sister's appointment is with a dentist who is doing molds of her mouth...therefore she needs to keep the appointment, it's wayyyy to far to walk, and the little devil needs someone to keep her in line. In steps the mean auntie! Homegirl better be playing her A game or I'm gonna win the battle. Ha ha! In reality I love the little devil to death, but she can be hard to deal with at times. She told my sister tonight that she "just doesn't understand" and stormed off. Ahh the attitude of a bratty 5 year old. My poor sister will have both of her girls this weekend for Easter, so it's going to be a battle of the bravest. The last time my oldest niece, Haley, was at my sister's house, she drug the little devil by her feet across the carpet...and gave her a nice rug burn on her forehead. When everyone says your kids are 10 times worse than you were to your parents, they weren't lying. My sister gets a double dose of reality and I just chuckle to myself! :-)
Just a random thought, I chopped off my hair again today. I'll post a picture when I remember to take one with my camera. My hair dresser cut it too short in the back, but it will grow out in a few weeks!
