Friday Blog Hop

Well, I realize it's Thursday, but tomorrow I'll be busy writing my final paper for this semester...therefore I won't have time to post this.  I finally finished my second attempt at my HBSE paper and submitted it this evening.  I had until this weekend to finish it, but I wanted to devote all of my energy to it today and just get it done.  So it's finished, submitted, and ready to be graded.  Now I am officially done with my Research Methods and my HBSE classes.  I have to write my final paper for my practice class and I will be finished with the semester.  My last day of class was yesterday, which was kind of bitter sweet because I'm going to miss my classmates.  We had a lot of fun this semester, amidst all the stress.  My goal is to work late into the night tonight and work all day tomorrow to get this paper finished.  Then I'll Saturday to proofread and edit the paper and submit it by 9:00 p.m.  Then I will be finished with my first year of grad school. 

Random thought...to calm me down and prevent from over stressing today, I baked a pie...from scratch (minus the pie shell b/c I had one in the freezer that I needed to use).  I made a pumpkin pie, and now I am getting everything ready to finish making dinner.  I'm using my hubby's recipe, but I'm making homemade enchilada casserole for dinner.  This is a big feat for me since I rarely cook.  I'm hoping everything turns out delish and it ends up being a wonderful evening.

Yay, it's Friday!  It's been a wonderful day (aside from this whole government shutdown and some crappy weather)!  We had to take the Durango back to dealership today so they can check some hoses and what not on my fuel lines.  We had the defective gas tank replaced last week (after a year and a half of gas spilling all over the ground b/c the tank wouldn't allow it to do the automatic click off) and the check engine light has been on since then.  We were told that it takes  a little bit for the pressure to build back up, so that's why they didn't catch it while it was there.  Apparently one of the connectors didn't have power going to it, hence the check engine light!  They got it finished in just over an hour and was free since it was related to the initial problem that was fixed.  While we waited for that to get done we met up with one of my friends, Angela, for breakfast at i-hop.  I brought her the gift for her little one that is due any day now, since I wasn't able to attend her baby shower in February.  I've been friends with Angela since 1st grade and we've managed to maintain pick up the pieces even though I've moved several times.  So we got to hang out for like an hour and a half and then went back to get my durango.  Now everything is fixed and I shouldn't have anymore issues with it.   BTW I paid $70 for just over 3/4 tank of gas today.  NOT COOL!
